The dream reveals a powerful vision of a great gathering of saints from all nations, where the heroes of the faith from past ages are being honored as having finished their race and won the victory. The dreamer sees apostles like Peter, Bartholomew, and Philip, highlighting the deep spiritual unity among all believers as being born of the same Spirit, with joyful recognition and fellowship. Though these saints faced many attacks from Satan, their testimony of Jesus Christ remains standing like tall flags for all to see. When the dreamer and others desire to remain in this glorious place, the Lord commands them to return to their nations, to copy the faith and faithfulness of these saints, shine the light, and spread it abroad. The dream reflects the truth of being surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, with heaven cheering believers on to overcome and remain faithful until the end.

DREAM ABOUT THE HEROES OF THE FAITH

In my dream, we were at a huge gathering of the saints from all nations of the world. It seemed as though some big event was happening and we were in an open ground covered with beautiful green grass.

There were so many people and there was excitement with people laughing, rejoicing, chattering. I then saw that there was a long line of metallic poles that went really high and at the top of the poles were huge flags.

I noticed people standing by the flags. They wore graduation gowns and each stood next to their own flag.

THE HEROES OF THE FAITH REVEALED

I then realized that we were here to attend a graduation ceremony of these people. I then recognized and knew that these people who were in the gowns were the heroes of the faith from past ages!

They were saints whose faithful example had left indelible marks and Christians look up to them. The Lord did not allow me to recognize all of them but only allowed me to recognize some. I recognized some of the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ! Among the people standing in their gowns next to their flags, I saw the Apostle Peter.

Some of the saints from all nations of the earth who had come to celebrate with these saints who were graduating had carried phones and cameras and some people were taking pictures of the saints whose lives had really inspired them.

The saints from the nations were freely interacting with these heroes of the faith and there was so much excitement and chatter everywhere!

PETER’S DEPARTURE AND SPIRITUAL ATTACKS

A man came up near where we stood carrying a really huge photograph of Peter. His face was beaming in excitement and he asked, “Where has Peter gone? I wanted to give him this picture I took of him that I printed out for his graduation.

I turned to check where Peter had stood and noticed that he was no longer there but had gone! Only his flag remained standing tall.

I then noticed that several of the graduating saints had left and only their flags remained standing tall. Another man standing near us said, “I was talking to Peter’s wife and she told me he had to leave early. She was telling me that they had been going through a lot of attacks!

When I heard that I thought to myself, “So these people also faced numerous attacks from satan?” Because I remembered how God’s children on the earth are targeted by Satan with numerous attacks in an attempt to dissuade them.

REUNION WITH THE APOSTLES

I then heard someone calling out, “Bartholomew!

When I turned, I saw the Apostle Bartholomew standing with a huge smile on his face and his arms wide open ready to hug the person who was calling him!

It was as though we all knew each other and were not strangers to each other!

These people from old knew us and we knew them. We were able to recognize each other and it felt like seeing an old friend you haven’t seen in a long time!

I realized it is because we are all born of the same Spirit and therefore were not strangers to each other! We were all so excited to see each other.

I turned and saw the Apostle Philip. I said to someone standing near me, “Look, there’s Philip!” All of us, the saints from all nations of the world who had come to celebrate with these saints who were graduating didn’t want to leave!

THE DESIRE TO STAY AND GOD’S COMMAND

We all just wanted to stay here forever and none of us wanted to go back to our own countries and homes!

We said, “Let’s just build a community and stay here with these people!

Then the Lord God spoke and said, “No! But copy their example of faith. Of faithfulness even in the time of trial, and do the same. Go back to your own countries and live similar lives. Shine the light there and spread out the light!

I remembered how at the transfiguration, the Apostle Peter did not want to leave and said, “Lord, let us make three tabernacles for You, Moses and Elijah and stay here!” (Matthew 17:1–8)

It was the same feeling we had, we didn’t want to leave.

THE MEANING OF THE FLAGS AND GOWNS

The Lord gave me the meaning of the flags. He said it is the testimony of these saints that stood so tall and is visible to all even after their departure. That is why their flags remained even after they left.

It is their testimony of Jesus Christ that is visible to all even from afar.

He gave me the meaning of the graduation gowns they wore to mean, “They have run their race, finished their course and won the victory!

THE CLOUD OF WITNESSES

I remembered how the Bible says we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. (Hebrews 12:1)

We are all born of the Spirit of God and these saints who have gone ahead are numerous witnesses, cheering us on saying, “You can do it! You can overcome just like I overcame!

May all praises, glory and admiration be to our God alone forever!

SCRIPTURE CONFIRMATION

Revelation 7:9–10, “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’”
